I have seen in life that small minute things teach a lot. If we observe quitely around us we can get to know big life truths that went unnoticed and not understood. Certain things that when attended to can lead us to different level of pleasure and satisfaction.
I was recently travelling in a modestly crowded Mumbai local train from Malad to Dadar on a rainy day. It had started raining outside and the passengers made a fuss about it siting inside. My eyes moved around as i noticed people around me. My eyes halted on a small approximately six-year-old boy whose mom was dressing him in a plastic rain coat. His hands hold an excitingly made paper plane. Keeping his amazed eyes on the raincoat he said to his mother sitting on the seat behind him, he eagerly said to his mom"Mother, I will fly this plane when I get outside this train."and displayed how he would do it, standing in front of his mother
His mother smilingly nodded to him in agreement.
I was so touch by this. Often we children have are own dreams which we wish to fulfil without getting acquainted with the reality all in our innocence. the mother of the child knew it was raining outside and was preparing her child to face it yet she did not crumble her son's dream to fly a paper made plane in heavy rains!
Such are parents! They always try to prepare their children to face the harsh realities of life, when we are busy in our own dream world and untraveled ambitions.
